India Won 2nd Test Match Against Bangladesh – Ind VS Ban 2nd Test

India won the rain-affected 2nd Test match against Bangladesh by 7 wickets. With this win, India clinched the Test series 2-0. In the second innings, India was given a target of 95 runs to win the match, which they achieved by losing only 3 wickets and scoring 98 runs in 17.2 overs.

In the first innings, Bangladesh batted first and scored 233 runs.

For Bangladesh, Mominul Haque scored 107 runs from 194 balls, and Najmul Hossain Shanto played a knock of 31 runs from 57 balls.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets for 50 runs in 18 overs, while Akash Deep picked up 2 wickets, giving away 43 runs in 15 overs.

Afterward, the next two days were affected by rain, and the match resumed on the 4th day.

India, in their first batting innings, scored 285 runs and set new Test match records in this innings.

For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 72 runs from 51 balls, and KL Rahul made 68 runs from 43 balls.

In Bangladesh's first innings bowling, Mehidy Hasan Miraz took 4 wickets for 41 runs in 6.4 overs, and Shakib Al Hasan picked up 4 wickets, conceding 78 runs in 11 overs.

India secured a lead of 52 runs in the first innings.

Ind VS Ban 2nd Test Second Innings

In the second innings, Bangladesh scored 146 runs and were all out on the 5th day, setting a target of 95 runs for India to win.

For Bangladesh, Shadman Islam scored 50 runs from 101 balls, and Mushfiqur Rahim made 37 runs from 63 balls.

In India’s second innings bowling, Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets, giving away 17 runs in 10 overs, and Ravindra Jadeja also took 3 wickets, conceding 34 runs in 10 overs.

India started their second innings on Day 5 during the second session, chasing a 95-run target. India lost Rohit Sharma (8) at a team score of 18 and Shubman Gill (6) at 34 runs.

Then, Virat Kohli and Jaiswal stabilized the innings, but at 92 runs, Jaiswal lost his wicket while trying to hit a winning six, departing for 51 runs.

Rishabh Pant came in and hit the winning boundary, securing the match for India with a 7-wicket victory.

Yashashvi Jaiswal won the title of Player of The Match as he made 71 Runs In First Innings And 51 Runs In 2nd Innings.

Ind VS Ban Test Series - Player Of The Series

Ravichandran Ashwin got the player of the series award for his outstanding performance in the series both with bat and bowl.

Ashwin made 113 Runs In 1st Test First Innings And Also Took 6 Wickets In the second innings of the match. 

In the second test 1st innings he took 2 wickets and in 2nd innings he took 3 wickets making him the most valuable player in the series.
